Elgin Vintners – Chardonnay is a distinctive white wine from the cool, cloud-covered Elgin Valley in South Africa, where grapes ripen slowly to develop intense, concentrated flavours. Fermented in French oak using mainly indigenous yeasts, with 40% undergoing malolactic fermentation, it offers a complex, layered profile and a crisp, bone-dry finish.
On the nose and palate, expect hints of apple and white stone fruits, finishing with a zesty orange-peel note. Medium-bodied and versatile, this Chardonnay pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry, and light dishes, or can be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing, elegant wine.
