This white wine Vermentino has the complexity of a Sardinian Vermentino, combined with the flavours of South African soil. With aromas of pear, white peach, lime, pink grapefruit and subtle notes of citrus zest. The taste is dry with flavours of grapefruit, ctrus and minerality and a subtle taste of green almond.
The vineyards are located at Slent Farm on the slopes of the Voor-Pardeberg mountains near Paarl. There is a protected area in these mountains for the rare Cape Leopard which is the emblem of these Ayama wines.
Harvested 2025 and aged in 2nd fill barrels for 7 months
