Tiramisu Limoncello
Lemon flavoured Tiramisu
Ingredients
- 1 Packet savoiardi Ladyfinger biscuits
- 500ml Marscapone cheee
- 1 Jar Tiptree Lemon curd
- 6 egg yolks
- 125ml Limoncello
- 275ml Double cream
- 60ml lemon juice
- 200ml milk
- 200ml sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Directions
- Take Mascarpone out of fridge until it is at room temperature about 30 inutes
- Put the the egg yolks, milk and sugar into a Double boiler and whisk until mixture starts to thicken.
- Once cool, whisk in the mascarpone cheese until smooth
- In a separate bowl whisk the cream and vanilla essence until it thickens
- In a small glass mix the Limoncello and lemon juice together
- Dip the Savoiardi biscuits in the liquid quickly
- You can then assemble the Tiramisu in a large dish or small individual glass bowls
- Make a layer of the biscuits
- Top the biscuits with a layer of mascarpone, followed by a layer of lemon curd, then a layer of thick cream
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of cream
- Cover the serving dish or individual dishes and chill overnight in the fridge.
