French Market Recipe 2025 04
Le Crumble aux framboises
Raspberry Crumble
Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 125gr flour
  • 75gr white sugar
  • 50gr brown sugar
  • 100 gr French unsalted butter from the French Market shop
  • 400g raspberries

Directions:    

  1. Preheat oven to 180C degrees
  2. Cut the butter into small pieces
  3. Sieve the flour into a mixing bowl
  4. Add the white and brown sugar
  5. Add the butter and rub into the flour and sugar with the fingertips until the mixture has the texture of breadcrumbs
  6. Place the raspberries in a baking dish
  7. Spread the crumbly mixture over the top of the raspberries.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown on top
  9. Remove from oven and allow to cool a little before serving

Serve warm accompanied by a bowl of crème fraiche and pair with a glass of Rose l’Exuberance 2022 from Clos Contenac in St Emillion, Bordeaux, available in our shop or order online at www.frenchmarket.co.za.
