Farce aux Marrons
Chestnut stuffingIngredients for turkey
- Â 2 x 420g jars whole cooked chestnuts from the French Market shop
- 1 egg
- 300ml chicken stock
- 125g lard / suet
- ½ teaspoon Herbes de Provence
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Directions:
- Simmer the chestnuts in the stock for an hour
- Drain and mash them through a sieve
- Mix in the egg, fat, herbs, and seasoning until fully blended.
- Stuff inside the turkey and seal the opening using skewers or tooth picks
