Deep and dark like ink, Petite Sirah has powerful and silky tannins, a complex mouth filling with great structure. The palate is soft and round, an early fall fresh forest floor, carthiness, with densely concentrated flavours of fresh black cherries. Perfect balance that refresh the palate with a mineral and persistent finish. Meats, stews, braised and grilled meats are excellent food and wine matches for Petite Sirah.

The Ayama vineyards are located at Slent Farm on the slopes of the Voor-Pardeberg mountains near Paarl. There is a protected area in these mountains for the rare Cape Leopard which is the emblem of these Ayama wines.
